Life is to indulge…
I started reading quite late in life but have grown to enjoy it immensely. After more than a decade working in the financial services industry from investment banking to private equity and having lived in three countries Vietnam, US and Singapore, I finally allowed myself to indulge in the simple luxuries of reading and investing. I have long aspired to write and to share what I have learned from my reading, my work and life experiences. Writing is the best way to practise extracting thoughts from the subconscious mind and reorganizing them with the conscious mind in order to make sense of things. Writing also encourages me to read even more and become a constant student of life.
Rest assured my writing here – good or bad, you will be reading from me and not some AI bot.
I was born in Hanoi, Vietnam. My head is in finding wonderful businesses but my heart belongs to my loved ones. My personal heroes are Charlie Munger & Warren Buffet, not just from the way they invest but also from the way they live (and have lived). As a Vietnamese, I am ashamed to say that I prefer espresso than “ca phe”, though the best espresso is made from Vietnamese coffee bean.
Treat this page as my self-indulgence, a personal perspective, or an op-ed on finance and investment-related topics, amongst other finer things in life (such as book recommendations). Eventually, I want to be useful, and I look forward to your feedback.
